STAR WARS: THE OLD REPUBLIC Release Date Determined By Beta

Beta is released tomorrow and depending on how many bugs and other issues are found, a proper release date could be announced very soon.

Star Wars: The Old Republic has yet to be announced, however we may not be far from getting one depending on how the beta performs. Apparently EA has been holding back a release date because they want to see if the beta for Star Wars: The Old Republic has a lot bugs or other issues. Frank Gibeau EA's Labels boss:

"It is definitely tied to the beta test feedback that's ongoing and so far, so good. We feel good about the date that we're heading towards but you're right, you could have a Crazy Ivan show up in the September/October beta test and be like, 'wow, I've got to fix that.'"
The beta for Star Wars: The Old Republic is scheduled to be released September 2, 2011, so we may find out pretty quick if we will get a release date sooner rather than later. It just depends on how many bugs, glitches, or other issues are found during the beta, the more found the longer it will take before the game is released. Let's hope this game isn't like some of Bioware's past games that were filled with glitches and bugs or we may never see an official release date for Star Wars: The Old Republic.
