Sting Announced For WWE 2K15 - Video And Photo

His official WWE debut (at least in video game form).

The long awaited WWE debut of former WCW legend Sting occurred during Monday's edition of Raw in the form of a commercial for the WWE 2K15 video game. In the worst kept secret in recent memory, Sting was confirmed as a pre-order bonus for the game, which is available on October 28th. Last week Sting tweeted "07.14.14" in a mysterious tease. That simple tweet got the entire wrestling world talking because everybody knew it was the date of this week's edition of Raw. Some fans thought that it meant that Sting would appear on Raw. Later in the week the reports stated that it was going to be a video game commercial to promote WWE 2K15, the timing of which matched last year's announcement of The Ultimate Warrior. During last night's Raw they aired the video that had an orchestra in it. A month ago there were reports of that being filmed. The video showed somebody in a black coat along with a baseball bat. We knew who it was, but it didn't say right away. The orchestra members turned around to reveal white face paint. Then Sting's face was shown: "Two Generations of Sting." That's all it said. It likely means that you can use Sting as the guy with the face paint and blonde hair from the late 1980s/early 1990s or you could use the late 1990s version with the dark hair along with black/white face paint. Here's the video: http://youtu.be/diOtZg4mJRU When the video was shown during Raw, the fans in the arena cheered loudly. The show went to break right after it so the announcers didn't comment on it. The video was pushed heavily on all of WWE's social media immediately after it aired. There's also a new t-shirt for sale on WWEShop.com that you can order now. Sting T Shirt As we have noted in the past, when WWE released the pre-order video last year featuring The Ultimate Warrior it was done on the same week. For Warrior it also meant entry into WWE's Hall of Fame, which is very possible for Sting as well. Regarding an in-ring debut for Sting, we still don't know if it's going to happen although there have been rumors of it happening since January. The fact that he did a video game deal and WWE is selling his merchandise can only be seen as positive signs.
