Super Mario Odyssey- 10 Ways It Beats Breath Of The Wild

6. Capturing

Mario Zelda Odyssey Breath Of The Wild
Nintendo

Including capturing as a reason for Super Mario Odyssey beating Breath of the Wild hardly seems fair when you consider that only one of the games has it, but Odyssey's unique mechanic is so incredible that it just needs to be mentioned.

Mario games are known for each having a different mechanic that defines their game and Super Mario Odyssey is no different. The introduction of Cappy means that Mario can possess his enemies and use their abilities to help traverse the environment. It completely changes the way that you view the world and the enemies within it. The possibilities in the future are endless.

It seems impossible for Nintendo the follow up the capture mechanic in Super Mario Odyssey and that goes to show how important it is to the game.

Although being able to climb anything in Breath of the Wild is almost as good of a mechanic, capturing enemies in Super Mario Odyssey completely changes not only the game, but the Super Mario franchise as well.
