After the huge success of the NES Classic and a raft of rumours that a follow-up SNES version was set to be released, Nintendo have finally, officially confirmed its plans to release the SNES Classic mini console, ensuring they get another best-selling novelty release in September.

The homage to the 16-bit champion console is set to be released bundled with 21 games taking in some of the absolute classics of the era, and while there are inevitably some disappointing missing titles (like Chrono Trigger), being invited to experience those games again as if for the first time is the kind of nostalgia gamers wish you could bottle.

By rights, the SNES mini console should reasonably outsell the NES - it holds an even more special place in gamers' hearts - and the release is likely to cause an absolute scrum as people rush to pick them up before they inevitably sell out. And those lucky enough to do so will get a broad collection of games, from the incredibly exciting debut of Star Fox 2 through to Super Mario, Zelda and Metroid classics.

But which of the classic games bundled with the Classic will you be playing first? Faced with that sort of choice, it's handy to see how they all rank in direct competition...
