10. Mr Game & Watch
Mr Game & Watch was first featured in 1980 making him one of the older characters ever to be associated with Nintendo. In total 59 different Game & Watch games have been released since then and have become popular even on the more modern handheld consoles such as the Nintendo DS and Gameboy Advance SP. It would mean a return to the roots for the developers and also be a nice nod towards those older gamers who grew up with the character who came about due to a concept made by Gunpei Yokoi who created a watch with doubled as a gaming device for people travelling long distances. He did make an appearance in Super Smash Bros. Melee & its sequel Brawl so hopefully we haven't seen the last of this fun and retro character.
