The Legend Of Zelda: Link's Awakening Remake - 10 Things We Can't Wait To See

10. A New Dungeon

Nintendo

Last time Nintendo dusted off Link’s Awakening for an upgrade and re-released it was Link’s Awakening DX for the Gameboy Colour. To take advantage of the handheld’s USP, the development team added a whole new dungeon with colour-based puzzles. That dungeon has been confirmed for the remake.

What would be even better though would be a brand new dungeon that offers something new and takes advantage of the Switch’s more advanced tech in the same way. Maybe a HD rumble dungeon could be a way to offer us some new puzzle-solving goodness alongside the nostalgia.

This is bottom of the list as with barely more than a week to go, no new dungeon has been announced or shown. That makes it something of a long shot, but you can’t blame me for hoping developers Grezzo are holding back a surprise for when the game comes out on the 20th.

Actually, if not, we’re still excited to see what they’ve done with that colour dungeon. How does a level that made a virtue of a limited colour palette make sense on a modern console? We’ll find out soon.
