At the time of it's release, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was a groundbreaking game, enjoying critical acclaim and solidifying itself as one of PlayStation's best titles. Not only did it have a compelling story told through instantly classic characters, with some of the most stunning visuals in the gaming industry, Drake's Fortune acted as a foundation for Naughty Dog to build the franchise from.

Due to its massive success, the first Uncharted outing was followed by three sequels, three spin offs across the PlayStation family, and even the official novel, Uncharted: The Fourth Labyrinth. And with a movie in the works, it is fair to say that the entire franchise owes a lot to Drake's Fortune.
