3. Story
Tomb Raider is about a wealthy woman breaking into ancient temples and stealing everything that isnt nailed to the floor which, makes Lara come across as of questionable moral integrity. So in this new instalment, Crystal Dynamics have created a darker grittier plotline. But, as far as I can see, they are creating a plot without a lot of depth. Its basically about Lara trying to escape from a group of rapists and of course escape the island she is trapped on. There have however, been rumours about a cult of some kind as well as some magical artefact. Im hoping this isnt the case because if Crystal Dynamics are going for a shadowy, realistic plot, adding a magic macguffin is going to nosedive that feeling into the sea. Also, cults have been worn down over the years and wouldnt make for a horrifying twist and more of an unsatisfactory spin.
