Every action title conveys the sense of danger that is overwhelming our hero. We control them as they dodge gunfire, leap across buildings, and toss back grenades with the reflexes of a lion. It really feels a little unfair for the villains. Not only do they have to deal with a character that is seemingly a master at all disciplines, but is also immortal. No matter how many times they kill you, you just keep coming back.
A new Youtube short film from FataAwesomeFilms is attempting to provide gamers with the other side of the fight, the villains.
The video highlights a group of enemies taking on what appears to be Nathan Drake in a battle for survival. Gunfire erupts across the small field as Drake pushes towards the gang. It’s only a short while until they seem to be finally claiming victory over the crafty adventurer. Gathering around they contemplate his humanity. After all, how can someone really take that many bullets and come back, time and time again.
The video offers an amusing take on the thoughts that our enemies could possibly be having while your staring at your load screen. I can only hope that my in-game deaths are psychologically tormenting my enemies as much as they are here.
Perhaps we are actually the devil in video games, the world may never know.
