Fans haven't heard much since From Software's Elden Ring was announced back at E3 2019, but a recent leak suggests that it could be launching as early as June 2020.

Target removed a listing for the hotly-anticipated collaboration between Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin and From Soft's Hidetaka Miyazaki, which initially held that June date. To further these rumours, the game was also confirmed to be part of Sony's showcase for the Taipei Game Show, which takes place between February 6 and 9. We should know for certain whether the release date is accurate then, though the RPG won't be playable on the show floor.

Though it seems like a quick turnaround, especially considering how little has been shown from the game so far, the project has allegedly been in development for over three years. Likewise, other titles from the studio, including Bloodborne, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Dark Souls 3, all had development cycles under four years, with the latter game announced at E3 2015 for a release in March 2016, an even tighter window than what's alleged for Elden Ring.
