Warner Bros. Announces Young Justice: Legacy

The game will feature characters from the television show such as "Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian, and Artemis.

Today Warner Bros. announced that a game based on the Young Justice television series that airs on Cartoon Network is in the works. Young Justice is one of the most popular titles on the Cartoon Network so this is not a big surprise. The game is called Young Justice: Legacy and will feature characters from the television show such as "Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian, and Artemis." According to the press release the game is being developed by a "a worldwide game publisher" known as Little Orbit. The game is said to have online and offline multiplayer that pits 12 heroes against 12 villains. However, there is a story mode to the game that takes place between the first and second season of the show. They refer to the game as being an RPG with a story mode that fits between the first and second season; however the 12 heroes against 12 villains and the multiplayer aspect of the game (not to mention the image above) seem to indicate a game based more on the fighting genre than the RPG genre. The game is scheduled to be released in 2013 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, and Nintendo DS. It is a little surprising they are developing a 2013 game on the Nintendo Wii and not on the Wii U which will be released later this year.
