2K could start with bringing back the immersive Showcase modes of old.

If they were mixed with another, less-tightly-controlled storyline experience elsewhere on disc, Showcases could be a worthwhile distraction. In fact, they were, and it's a struggle to comprehend why 2K took them out in time for 2K17's release; the DLC "Hall Of Fame" pack released later came a bit too late to emulate the success of Steve Austin's story the previous year.

Showcases, when done right, were a total blast to play through. No, they weren't the mode to plump for if gamers enjoyed complete freedom, but they did allow for fan interaction with some of the biggest moments in WWE history. That was their purpose, and 2K smashed it.

There's no reason why 2K19 couldn't feature a similar career retrospective for The Undertaker, Kurt Angle or even other legends like Chris Jericho.
