WWE 2K20: 7 Most Shocking Roster Omissions

Obviously, Hollywood's second finest wrestler-turned-thesp Big Dave Bautista isn't a regular member of the WWE roster, having found significantly better and more lucrative things to do with his life and talents, in addition to retiring from the ring earlier this year at WrestleMania 35 (for all the weight that stipulation carries).

Yet, paradoxically, it's that very retirement that makes the Evolution chap's current omission from the 2K20 roster all the more peculiar. The Animal featured not once but twice on last year's edition, in both contemporaneous and 2010 form, despite having no ongoing association with the company. That all changed last October, when the Virginian made his first appearance in the company since 2014 as part of SmackDown's 1000th episode celebrations, before he embarked on his long-sought farewell programme opposite Triple H over WrestleMania season.

Batista might have hung up his blue beret with defeat in New Jersey, but he hasn't been as relevant to the WWE Universe for over half a decade as he was in 2019. So where's he hiding?

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
