XBLA's Summer Of Arcade Pricing And Release Dates Revealed

Major Nelson has revealed the exact date that gamers will be able to begin picking up a brand new wave of XBLA titles for this year's Summer of Arcade event. The festivities are set to kick off on July 18, with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD launching for 1200 MP. This is surely set to please fans of the ongoing series that has been all but dead for recent years. There was Tony Hawk: Shred, but we all know how that one turned out. Badly, the answer is badly. The Kinect enabled, Wreckateer, will be launching on July 25 for 800 MP. Remembering the lackluster E3 demo for the game only reassures my thoughts that 800 MP seems to be an extremely high price point for Wreckateer. While it may bring casual fun for the Kinect, these games feel like the equivalent of the numerous dollar iPhone games and $10 is a pretty steep increase. August 1 will be unleashing the zombie platformer Deadlight for 1200 MP. August 8 is bringing Hybrid for 1200 MP. Last, but not least, Dust: An Elysian Tail will be released on August 15 for 1200 MP.
