9. Terminator Salvation
The video game based on the poorly received fourth movie in the Terminator franchise is a prequel to film. You play as John Conner and the game plots his rise from a normal soldier to leader of the resistance. Christian Bale refused to lend his voice or likeness to the game so Conner is voiced by veteran voice actor Gideon Emery who does a decent enough job but Bale’s absence does stick out like a sore thumb.
The game is a third person shooter that will have you adopt the cover, move and flank strategy over and over again through nine levels of fairly decent action. In total there is around five hours of gameplay, and you can get all the achievements by playing on the (not very) hard difficulty level. Alternatively, play the whole game on Easy and replay the last chapter on Hard and all 1000 Gamerpoints are yours.
Terminator Salvation got mixed reviews upon it release but you can pick it up for around £8 and at that price, it’s a fun way to kill a few spare hours.
Annoying Achievement: None, they all unlock as you make your way through the game.
