Xbox One: 10 More Games We Want To See Announced

xbox-one-600x300 The Xbox One has finally broken cover and the reception that it received can accurately be described as "mixed". Chief concern among those who were less than thrilled was the fact that Microsoft did not show off all that many games with just brief glimpses of Call Of Duty:Ghosts and EA Sports new Ignite Engine failing to really get the juices flowing. Microsoft has promised that there will be around 15 exclusive titles in the first year of the Xbox One's life, how many of these are from Microsoft Studios and how many are from them throwing wads of money at publishers remains to be seen, but what exactly would we like them to have up their sleeve? With E3 coming up very shortly, it is the perfect opportunity for Microsoft to remind people that while they do have big ideas for the Xbox One and television, at its heart the machine is still a games console and they can prove this by showing off some glorious new titles. While not all of these games are likely to be exclusive here are the ten games that would really generate some buzz should they be announced over the coming months. Some may be a little obvious (but no less exciting) while others may go some way to appeasing gamers who worry that the system is not geared toward hardcore gamers.

10. Halo 5

halo5 Let's get the blatantly obvious one's out of the way first, we all know Halo 5 is coming but we just don't know when. Halo 4 was the beginning of a brand new trilogy, titled the Forerunner Trilogy. We absolutely know that there was a Halo 5 and Halo 6 in the pipeline, but given that gamers were not blown away by Xbox One's offerings, perhaps it is time for the Master Chief to break cover and show us exactly what the the new console will be capable of and just how much prettier it will be to stick a plasma grenade to an Elite's face. 343 Industries are obviously very capable from a technical point of view, Halo 4 was a gorgeous game but it felt a little boxed in at times, the Xbox One should give them the grunt to really stretch their legs and return us to the wide open vista's that made the original so great. Expect there to be some heavy Kinect integration (though not too much I hope) and some glorious visuals, the last entry was a great game but it did not do much to advance the Halo brand, it was merely a consolidation by the new developers, in Halo 5 they need to make the series their own and really propel it into the future.
