Xbox One: 5 Predictions For The Launch

4. People Will Like Kinect In Some Games

xbox-one-kinect-600x300 Remember when the Wii came out? How people said that Nintendo blew it up and how some people disliked the wiimote in several games? In the end it turned out to be one of the coolest things we've seen in games in recent years to the point in which both Microsoft and Sony decided to copy it. The games that used the full potential of said controller became some of the best games the console had, and a good motive to get one. Now, the first Kinect that came out depended a lot on gimmick and indeed it wasn't worth it spending money on something that will work only for one or two games (and even then it wouldn't do a good job). However since Microsoft was putting a lot of emphasis on the new Kinect (pretty much becoming the biggest thing they've promoted for the console) it appears that they've really put an effort on creating something that will be pretty cool if the developers use it to its full potential. Now I know what you're thinking again; "There, you said "IF the developers use it to its full potential," it isn't a guarantee that all the games will use it." And you'd be right, there's no guarantee that all of the games will use the full potential of this, however the games that are confirmed to use Kinect look like they're going to use its full potential. Take Crimson Dragon for example. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_GDszac6X0 You didn't know this was going to use Kinect right? Well this game will use Kinect and while it sounds like a recipe for a failure it doesn't look like it's not going to make things too complicated. Simple but effective. There's also this little story about a man who praises the Xbox one. Who is "really looking forward to the graphics power it is capable of" and who wants to see "what we can do with the voice command and the movement with the gestures." Who is this crazy man you might be thinking? None other than Hideo Kojima himself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=Al9Vouy7zTY#t=1698s
