3. Kinect 2.0
Hardcore gamers have always hated gimmicks, especially motion control. When Microsoft first revealed the Kinect, they softened the blow by including voice controls, a feature that could actually be useful. But in the three years of its life, there hasnt really been anything that really used Kinect to enhance games, aside from Mass Effect 3. Even the impressive wave of Kinect hacks early in its life are largely forgotten. The new Kinect has 1080p cameras, better body detection, can see in the dark, and to sweeten the deal comes standard with every Xbox One. But will that be enough to sway gamers into giving it another chance? Probably not, unless developers integrate it into the first wave of next gen titles. Microsoft has an uphill battle to prove (again) that Kinect is relevant and this time, with gamers already poised to jump ship to PS4 or PC, they need to prove Kinect is more than a party game paperweight.
