Xbox One Will Now Function Without Kinnect

Kinect Microsoft has had a very rough summer and E3 relating to their Xbox One and its non-consumer friendly policies. The policies upsetting gamers and press alike included ghastly tactics such as restricting the reselling of used games and other head scratching decisions like forcing the console to remain connected to the internet in order to function. Over the past month however all of these restrictions were removed (even after Microsoft had stated that they couldn't reverse the policies). Yes, ladies and gentleman, the final intrusive barrier of Kinnect's mandatory presence has now also been stripped. This now removes every potential gripe gamers have so vocally made Microsoft aware of despite the companies reassurance that there would be benefits to the features. Furthermore, it also means you can freely game and access more social applications or streaming services on the Xbox One without the Kinnect device spying on you even when the console is not in use. On the flip-side however, if you want to use features such as voice commands and motion controls the device still obviously requires a connection. Gamers, the choice is now yours! Do these recent policy reversals make the 8th console generation war less one sided? Are you getting an Xbox One now or were you always getting one? Comment below! If you crave more Xbox One news here is an unboxing of the console.
