10 Artists that Could Headline Glastonbury 2013

10. Arctic Monkeys

Arctic-Monkeys-Interna Formed in 2002, Arctic Monkeys are one of Britain's biggest 'indie' rock bands. They were one of the first bands to rise to prominence due to the internet which saw them have a blistering debut with Whatever People Say I am, That's what I'm Not that still holds sales records to this day. Their debut album went straight to the top of the chart as did their first two singles. Since their surprising debut each of their albums has gone to the top of the UK chart but they have had mixed success outside of the United Kingdom. They should have a new album out later this year which makes them likely to headline one of the bigger festivals in the UK. Finally, they often headline UK Festivals when they have a new album released; T in the Park in 2007 and 2011, Reading + Leeds in 2009 and V Festival in 2011. They were given their first shot at headlining by Glastonbury in 2007; a show they apparently were not particularly happy about so it seems likely that will make a return this year.
