10 Bands Whose New Albums Can't Come Soon Enough

From momentum-gatherers to well-established behemoths, 2014 is going to be an amazing year for music.

2013 was a surprisingly strong year for rock music, having gotten some new classics from seasoned bands like Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, David Bowie, and Arcade Fire as well as young guitar-driven bands like Cage the Elephant, Middle Class Rut and FIDLAR, just to name a few. On top of that we had serviceable albums from grunge-era acts like Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, and Filter to round things off. 2014 is shaping up to be yet another great year for music too, as we have already gotten a handful of solid rock albums this year from Against Me, Kongos, Sleeper Agent, and Dinosaur Pile-Up, but many more are still on the horizon. Some of these albums might be ones from seasoned bands we have known and have been anticipating for years, and others are from young rock bands on the verge of a breakthrough that you just don't know you're looking forward to. And, perhaps most importantly, will this finally be the year that Tool releases their long awaited new studio album? Hit the jump to find out, and read some of the most anticipated albums of the near future. You might learn about a new band or two in the process.
