10 Best Diana Ross Tracks

9. Endless Love

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ewf0TnM4eKo Moving from contemporary dance Diana to the sweeping nostalgia of her heart-wrenching Lionel Richie duet, Endless Love. The duet was released part of the soundtrack for long forgotten Brooke Shields romance, Endless Love. The success of the record cannot be underplayed, due to it quickly gaining the title of the second highest selling single of 1981 (behind Kim Carnes' Bette Davis Eyes) and remaining on the Billboard Chart for a staggering nine weeks. It still remains one of Ross's biggest selling singles. Endless Love is never going to be regarded as a subtle track - it's the musical equivalent of a Hallmark valentine's card. It's a sweeping, overly-sentimental, romantic ballad - but a classic nonetheless and its enduring appeal is clearly a small reminder that everyone secretly loves it.
