10 Best Indie/Alternative Songs Of 2017 (So Far)

Canadian dream pop outfit Alvvays emerged in 2014 with their self-titled debut album. It was released to critical acclaim, ranking high on many publications' end of year album lists.

Now they are back and preparing to top their debut with the sophomore release, Antisocialites, out in September. The first track released was the rocker In Undertow, and the band can count themselves unlucky that the song didn't also make the list.

However, it is Dreams Tonite, the second track from the album to surface, that stakes its place here. Unlike its predecessor, Dreams Tonite is a far more dreamy and entrancing effort, with singer Molly Rankin wistfully asking "If I saw you on the street, would I have you in my dreams tonight?"

The chillingly beautiful track makes Antisocialites a candidate for one of the best end of year releases.
