10 Best Rock Albums We Can't Wait To See In 2014

What to expect throughout the year from some of rock's biggest names this year...

In hindsight, 2013 was a superb year for music: we saw the arrival of new bands such as the full-of-life girl group Haim with their debut LP "Days Are Gone" as well as a debut that was full of every substance known to man, from punk rockers FIDLAR, with their self-titled debut. We also saw the return of one of the most iconic rockstars of all time, the Thin White Duke himself; David Bowie, bursting back onto the scene for his first album in ten years entitled "The Next Day". Also whilst on the topic of resurrections, after spending most of his life helping getting indie bands off the ground or keeping Morrissey in line in the 80s, Johnny Marr showed the world that he was ready to finally make a name for himself in a solo career with "The Messenger". These are just a few examples of what a stellar year 2013 was, it'd take forever to list all of the brilliance contained within it, and would probably make this a very bloated introduction. And it's because of this that we move on to the focus of this article, which is the best upcoming albums of 2014. This list will hopefully show you what to expect throughout the year from some of rock's biggest names alongside some very promising debuts from bands that deserve your time and money without question.
