7. Scottish Pirate Metal

All aboard! Mixing power metal, folk metal and a whole load of rum, Alestorm have been referred to as 'True Scottish Pirate Metal' - and it doesn't get more specific than that. What is pirate metal, we hear you cry! Basically, massively amped up (and surprisingly catchy) sea shanties chanted by grown men in pirate fancy dress.
