10 Breakout Indie-Rock Stars Of 2019's Summer Festival Season

9. The Snuts

Scotland has been treating us to a whole wave of talented new artists this year. West Lothian band The Snuts have been making ripples in the UK rock scene with their blend of strong guitar riffs, massive sing-along choruses and honest, heartfelt lyrics. Particularly, standout tracks Glasgow and Seasons harken back to anthemic 2000s indie-rock while maintaining a unique, infectious sound.

Having signed for Parlophone late last year, the Scottish outfit gained an unprecedented amount of momentum over the summer. The highlight of their slated festival run was a landmark performance on the main stage at TRNSMT, playing to an over 20,000-strong home crowd in a day BBC news coined as 'Snuts Day'. Quite impressive considering they haven't even released their first album yet!

It should be dropping soon though, being recorded in New York as of writing, and the influences from across the pond are already being felt in their new ode-to-Americana single Maybe California. And that would be on top of them opening for Lewis Capaldi in November after their own huge headline tour.

So be ready for those mosh pits come summer 2020, cause they don't look like they're going away any time soon.
