10 Creative Music Videos That Aren't Michael Jackson's

michael-jackson-thriller-movie It is very apparent that the late Michael Jackson has the gold medal when it comes to unique and creative music videos. Several videos (including €œThriller€ and €œGhosts€) were even released as mini-movies, lasting as long as forty minutes, but delightfully so. I remember the first time I saw the €œThriller€ music video. I thought it was a horror movie and I couldn€™t believe my parents were letting me watch it. It was spectacular. Since MJ€™s release of such videos, people have forgotten about every other musician€™s music video catalogue. MJ€™s videos are the king of all music videos everywhere, but that doesn€™t mean we can€™t recognize the others for their creative attempts at cultivating the artistic nature of the music video industry these days. Without further adieu, let the music play.

10. Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UVNT4wvIGY I couldn€™t make a list of creative music videos without putting this one on here. When I first saw this video (which was the first time I heard the song), I was dazzled. The cubism-esque painting on the backdrop virtually eating our singer until he no longer stands out, but blends in with the background, was a perfect visual counterpart for the lyrics regarding his no longer being a part of his girl€™s life. Kimbra€™s part in the video was just as interesting - she was once a part of the painting, but could move, no longer blending in with the background until finally, she is rid of her body paint and can easily move on, leaving Gotye stuck in the same place he was. The video was as symbolic as it could have been, while also being visually captivating and having a great song to go along with it.
