In terms of rock music, this year has boasted several fantastic riot grrrl releasess. Many new bands are taking the grungey aesthetic of 90's acts like Hole and L7 and bringing it to the next level. While many people are singing the praises of Sleater Kinney and the Regrettes this year, Potty Mouth stood out as the band to be looking out for.
SNAFU is a pop rock juggernaut just waiting to be stumbled upon. The band has a smooth edge to their vocal delivery while also having the grit and gravel of your typical punk act. It's the sound of Joan Jett if she convinced the Blackhearts to channel Weezer rather than the Ramones.
Above all else, Potty Mouth seem to be the band with the most crossover potential. Songs like "22" and "Fencewalker" have melodies that slowly become engrained in your psyche.
