10 Legendary Rock And Metal Bands You Must See Before You Die

Some live performances defy words, and these guys nail it every time.

Live shows are what really make or break a band for music lovers. Plenty of acts sound great on CD and many become part of the soundtrack to our lives, but it's a live gig that often provides the most cherished memories for a band. It's live gigs that kids (and not a few adults) save their hard-earned dollars to go see, and in short, live music is an experience like no other. With the record industry experiencing ever-worsening sales figures, the touring industry has really had to pick up the slack, and with so many bands out there, who do you see? Your favourites, of course, but once you've seen them (or if you have just too many to choose from), what next? Well, if that's the case, consider this: there are a number of bands that have built their reputation on being fantastic live acts. They're creative, talented, maybe even a little bit dangerous. There's no lip-syncing here with a bunch of back-up dancers dressed as trees and sharks or dancing with chairs. No wardrobe malfunctions (and if there were, no one would care), no choreography either. Just down and dirty rock n' roll. So let's leave the safe confines of home, school, or your office behind and venture out into the concert world, looking at ten rock and metal acts you absolutely must see live (before they, or you, are gone)!
