That’s right, it’s happening, there’s another AFI album around the corner and you should be effing stoked on it. While fringey mainmen Davey Havok and Jade Puget were off galavanting with their side-projects XTRMST and Blaqk Audio, we didn’t think a new record from the Cali punks was anywhere near fruition… but we were wrong! Due for release on January 20, the self-titled release (aka The Blood Album) will be the benchmark for every punk album coming our way for the rest of the year, and with dates booked supporting Deftones and at Download festival, there are a lot of people ready to lose their collective poop over this record.

Being a wanky music journalist, this author has heard The Blood Album and can confirm it’s the best record AFI have produced since 2003’s Sing The Sorrow. You only need to listen to first single White Offerings to get that fire inside burning again as Havok’s signature vocals croon and bark to some seriously impactful anthemic punk. Still A Stranger is the winner on the album, though. Trust.

Luke Morton hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
