10 Most Heated Music Industry Feuds Of All Time
8. Glenn Danzig Vs. Everyone
Glenn Danzig is a legendary figure within punk and metal. As singer, songwriter and founder of Misfits, Danzig has a respectable body of work to his name, but that doesn’t mean he’s always been treated with respect, or shown it himself.
With a list of ostracized band members as long as his career and a well-documented reputation for starting beef with his peers, Danzig has feuded with hair-metal mainstays Def Leppard and Motley Crüe, to name a few. Both spats have allegedly led to violent confrontations; Danzig once chased Crüe singer Vince Neil out of a bar, after allegations that his band had stolen material from Misfits.
But Danzig’s most notable encounter came about in 2004, when North Side Kings frontman Danny Marianino floored Glenn with a punch to the face. The punch up came about due to disagreements over stage setup, when the Kings were set to open for Danzig at a show in Tuba City. Danzig has since stated that he allowed the punch to connect, rather than fight back and invite a lawsuit, while the North Side Kings maintain (and the video evidence strongly supports) that they weren’t looking for a fight, and Marianino merely reacted to being physically pushed.
