10 Notable Artists With Incomplete Catalogs On Spotify

8. Aaliyah

Aaliyah burst onto R&B scene as a teenager with 1994's Age Ain't Nothing But A Number, as largely written and produced by R. Kelly. Post-humous releases aside, Aaliyah recorded another two albums, 1996's One In A Million - which featured appearances by Missy Elliott, Timbaland and Slick Rick - and 2001's Aaliyah.

These two studio efforts, which include hits like We Need A Resolution, More Than A Woman, The One I Gave My Heart To, and If Your Girl Only Knew, are not available on Spotify. In addition, Aaliyah's 1998 hit Are You That Somebody? from Dr. Dolittle is not on Spotify, nor is her contribution to the Anastasia soundtrack, Journey To The Past.

However, Spotify does have four different singles from the Age Ain't Nothing But A Number era, each accompanied by at least three remixes of the same song.

According to Billboard, Aaliyah is the 10th most successful female R&B artist of the past 25 years and the 27th most successful R&B artist in history. She has sold more than 24 million albums worldwide, and has been featured on several posthumous releases in recent years. Timbaland has made mention of there being more unreleased vocal tracks featuring Aayliah, and Beck has made reference in the past to a duet that he had recorded with Aaliyah.
