9. Trying To Explain Their Live Atmopshere

Is there a live setting quite like BRMC? Not really. Whether it's the effortless cool, the deafening drones coming from the amps or desperation for the next song to be a rarity (Suddenly, anyone?), there is nothing quite like a Black Rebel gig.

Imagine a small venue like a hall or a club filled with people wearing black or leather jackets. The smell really gets into your nostrils, and there's three people on stage making one hell of a beautiful racket - all with a crowd so intent on listening and soaking in what's in front of them, it's eerie. Welcome to a BRMC gig.

Seeing Robert Been (bassist and singer) come out of his shell as the gig gradually moves along is awe-inspiring too. His passion is something to behold. Peter Hayes' (guitarist and singer) subtlety and 'get the job done to the best ability' is something else. And newest 'family' member Leah Shapiro's (drummer) tight and accurate style completes the experience.
