How does he do it? Hes unabashedly himself and will go to great lengths to let you know. Case in point is the video for Kiss From A Rose. The guy is wearing a blazer with no shirt underneath, wind blowing in his face, singing in front of the Bat Signal. A fashion faux-pas for 99% of us, but Seals going to get all sentimental with the world and hes not going to let something like wearing a shirt get in the way. And get sentimental he does, even if we have no idea what the hell hes talking about. The moment we hear the opening strains, were already hooked and dont even care that at some point were going to be baffled by the lyrics to come. What is it to be kissed by a rose on the gray and is that a good thing? Seriously, Lewis Carrolls Jabberwocky makes more sense, but it doesnt even matter. Coherent or not, this song is wonderful. Its considered one of the most frequently played wedding song and its not because couples are heading to divorce court the next day. Trust me, anyone who claims to hate this song are just afraid of their own feelings.
