If you thought Alabama Shakes were another one-hit wonder rock band after their debut song 'Hold On' became a massive hit in 2012, then be prepare to be proven wrong because the group are back with an even better offering on their second go around.

Although their first album, Boys & Girls, was as impressive as you can get for a bunch of really young kids there was a sense of naivety and youthfulness that popped up in Brittany Howard's lyrics. However, for Sound & Colour, not only are Howard's songs more mature, the band together has also embraced their funky, sexy side too, especially with songs like Don't Wanna Fight.

That's not to say that the group have abandoned the Americana style that people fell in love with three years ago, because that's certainly still present in wonderful songs like The Greatest. However, there's a lot more to Alabama Shakes now that they've got older and travelled the world and their experiences have helped made their latest effort an overwhelming success.
