3 Reason Not to Panic About Muse's New Album 'The 2nd Law'

Yesterday, the internet erupted with the news that masterful Queen impersonators Muse had released a trailer for their new album and it was, to coin a new phrase, a bit dubsteppy. I have to admit that I was extremely concerned that my favourite musicians from Devon (sorry Joss Stone) had decided to make music that sounds like two fax machines making love. However, whilst booking plane tickets to go to Matt Bellamy's Lake Como mansion and throw bags of flaming compost over the fence, I began to wonder if we were all over-reacting. Here are 3 reasons it might not be so bad:

1. It Might Actually Be Good

Maybe what we heard is just a sample for the start of the album, before it kicks into the real stuff. Or even better, its a spiritual follow up to Radiohead's Kid A - a big selling rock band releasing an electronic influenced album which we all pretended to really like so that indie girls would fancy us. Although you then have to wonder why on earth they advertised the album using its worst part, which leads me to theory two...
