4 Biggest And Most Exciting British Festivals This Summer

3. Reading and Leeds Festival (England 23rd to 25th August)

Reading.and.Leeds1 These two festivals that take place simultaneously have rarely disappointed in recent years. With the duo both being heavily dominated by Rock music it is a sanctuary for lovers of Indie, Alternative and Metal music. It's one of those festivals that has, for the most part, stuck to its Rock roots and steered clear from the charts. But after the first announcements of this years festival it has to be said there is some skepticism. After last year's heavily Rock headliners in the form of The Cure, Kasabian and The Foo Fighters the first headliner to be announced for the 2013 festival goes against this pattern. The announcement of Eminem may disgruntle some Reading and Leeds fans but it is not the first time the rapper has headlined the festival. Back in 2001 he topped the bill along with the Manic Street Preachers and Travis so you could say he is tried and trusted - the American will be sure to reign in most of the thousands of fans that will be in attendance. As long as Reading and Leeds succeeds, as it usually does, in attracting some top rock bands it will certainly be yet another massive year for the festival.
