5 Bands That Are The New Faces Of UK Heavy Metal

4. Bleed From Within

It doesn't get much more metal than forming a band by covering Lamb of God at a youth club but such is the case for Glasgow's Bleed From Within. Growing from your run-of-the-mill deathcore bands into a groove-ladened melodeath monster, BFW achieved acclaim for their third album 'Uprising' which in turn earned them the recognition from Metal Hammer magazine as 'Best New Band' 2013.

Since their inception, BFW have been rubbing shoulders with the biggest names in metal, touring with Suicide Silence, Soilwork and While She Sleeps before moving on to the likes of Testament, Megadeth and Carcass.

It was the shows with Testament and Megadeth that garnered praise for BFW as they were able to win over large portions of the audience despite much of said audience being unfamiliar with Bleed From Within or their music.

With comparisons to Lamb of God, Pantera and Suicide Silence, Bleed From Within bring with them a new wave of British brutality, a void left fairly dormant since the initial rises Napalm Death and Carcass.

Camp BFW has remained largely quiet since the release of the crowdfunded EP 'Death Walk' in 2014 but a new studio album is promised for this year and if it's anything like 'Uprising' then we are in for a treat.
