5 Bands That Could've Been Even Bigger Than They Were

Along with Green Day, Blink-182 was credited with creating the pop punk music genre that is thriving today. With their toilet humor and catchy lyrics and melodies, blink was one of the biggest bands of the late 90s and early 2000s. The thing is though, they could've been bigger. With American Idiot, Green Day was able to take over the world and subsequently h0ld on to it with their next few albums after a string of disappointing releases. With Blink, each album they had got bigger and bigger. Green Day revealed a more serious side to their music in American Idiot, and Blink had done that with their self titled effort in 2003. With the better roll that Blink was on, its hard not to imagine them just completely exploding with another full length effort and being as big or bigger than Green Day was at that time. Sadly, Blink broke up before that potential was reached, and various side projects from the bands haven't lived up to what Blink could've been. Luckily for Blink fans, the band reunited in 2009 and have put out a full length and more recently an ep that fans can listen to and love. But the break up will always leave us wondering what could've been.
