5 Under Appreciated Kanye West Songs

Cover Over the course of six solo albums, twenty-one Grammy awards, and ninety-four singles, Kanye West has some awesome songs attached to his discography. However, when every album you release is so critically acclaimed, there are going to be some songs that don't get the credit they deserve. Some of the songs on this list get overshadowed by hits, some are so different from a typical Kanye song that we forget they exist, and others are a mystery as to why they don't register with fans and critics as Kanye's best. Most artists don't have a library as polished and stacked as Kanye West does, so a lot of great songs get lost with mega-hits such as "Gold Digger," "Jesus Walks," and "Stronger," but that doesn't mean they aren't just as good (if not better) than those radio giants.

5. Lost In The World (My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy)

Lost In The World My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is one of the most acclaimed albums of the 21st century, and it deserves every bit of praise it's received. It's a collection of perfect music, and every musician could learn a thing or two about structure from MBDTF. Lost in the World comes in at the end of Kanye's 5th, and best, album, after fan and critical favorites like Runaway, Monster, and All of the Lights, and I still think it's the best song on the album. Lost in the World is everything that makes MBDTF a legendary album--it's grandiose, beautiful, and just a damn good song. I still get chills when the female vocals come in on the second chorus with "Run from the lights, run from the night/ Run for your life, down for the night." Perfect end to a perfect album.
