7 Insane Fan Dedication Stories You Won't Believe

Because you aren't a real star until a fan writes you a letter in their menstrual blood, apparently.

We're all a little bit crazy, right? Like, maybe your "GAGA IS MY QUEEN" sign was a little over-the-top at that last concert. Or maybe you check Bono's Facebook page more than you check your own. But y'know, that's the cute kind of crazy. But while a wee bit of crazy might a wee bit charming, that brand of subdued nuttiness won't cut it for some people. No, it takes a special kind of person€”a pioneer, in fact€”to take craziness to new and uncharted heights. As any brief exposure to the internet or today's headlines will reveal, that type of raging lunacy is displayed most frequently (and publicly) when dealing with celebrity fandoms. You've probably heard of people going over-the-top for superstars like Justin Bieber or One Direction€”but rest assured, the looniness is not confined to tween girls. We present to you now a cast of nine diverse characters who turned "charmingly smitten" into "all-out terrifying"€”all in the spirit of making us feel less like freaks. Prepare to cringe!

7. Girl Purchases Justin Bieber's Used Water Bottle For $624

Pictured: A far more glorious water container than the one in question. And Adam Sandler. Back in 2010, 16-year-old Emma Hall-Phillips and her mother briefly met Justin Bieber during a promotional stop at a local television station in New Zealand. As Bieber entered to get his make up done, he took a sip from a bottle of sparkling water, only to put it down, disgustedly declaring, "Ew, what's this?" Charming as ever. But you can't blame him for getting worked up over a delicacy as exotic as sparkling water €” it has bubbles, for God's sake. We can only assume he was wearing a highly punchable expression at the time. Well, we can hope. Having just first-handedly experienced what a jerk Justin Bieber is, Phillips and her mom grabbed the water bottle, deciding it was only right to make some good come of this punk's career. Figuring they might score twenty bucks for it in an online auction, the two put the bottle up for sale, with the agreement that they would donate any proceeds to charity. And the bottle did sell€”for $624. And while we're glad that the proceeds went to a deserving charity, we're also devastated that somewhere in the world, a young girl's parents are condoning her Bieber obsession to the tune of $624 (and that's just how much we know of).
