8 Disturbing Meanings Of 2013's Biggest Tracks

7. Black Skinhead - Kanye West

I could make every song on this list by Kanye West. That's how disturbing this guy's music is, whether it be a stunt to sell streaming downloads or not. Unfortunately, you already know this (hopefully), so I'll only point out one Kanye song that is just particularly disturbing, even by the title alone. After all, if you're at the point where you're naming a song Black Skinhead on an album called Yeezus, you've pretty much declared war on political correctness. At first glance, Black Skinhead sounds like a track that focuses on the violence of white power as it would translate to black pride. Maybe? It's a confusing song, especially when you take a look at the references Kanye starts spitting out. First, he mentions "I keep it 300, like the Romans." Which is weird because he's referencing the wrong army (it's Greece). Some might chalk this up to Kanye being silly, but I have a feeling he knows he's making this mistake, especially when you get to the rest of the song. He says "Like the theater that Hitler was trapped in." Except Hitler died in a bunker. Either Kanye is confusing reality with the events of Inglorious Bastards, he's referring to Abraham Lincoln dying in a theater, or he's distorting reality on purpose to say that he's basically God. He does yell "God" 11 times at the end of the song, as if to make certain we get the point.
