8 Hated 2013 Pop Songs That Totally Deserve A Second Listen

We Cant Stop Music is a self-changing, self-evolving entity that goes through massive periods of entrenchment of popularity in certain cultures, styles and musical genres, creating a melting pot of beats, themes and sounds for any artist worth their salt and artistic vision to go and make their own. Or at least try to. This year, music changed more than ever, creating a world where big name popstars fought to reinvent themselves, former Disney princesses rose to become sleek pop sirens, and the world became a little more connected with artists from Scandanavia and Korea alike finding themselves big winners on both sides of the Atlantic. However, not every attempt at global stardom ended up in rapturous applause and massive sales, with more than their fair share falling under the wheels of either critics or the general audience who disregarded the songs, didn't like them, or just didn't bother buying them. Particularly in a world where expressing opinion is available at the click of a button, songs can be torn apart in every music blog, online forum, or media website going, sometimes justifiably so and sometimes a touch too harshly. Plenty of songs this year has been given their unfairly large share of vitriol, and so, to try and rectify the situation somewhat, are eight of my pop songs of 2013 that did not deserve the hatred they earned and which you really should consider giving another spin, and why you absolutely should go ahead and do just that.
