9 Albums That Are Begging To Be Made Into A Movie

Who knew albums could be so cinematic?

Just because music albums are auditory doesn't mean they can't be deeply cinematic. And when you think about it, it's quite strange that records aren't more regularly adapted into movies. Many albums have a strong narrative concept, and often function in a similar way to short stories, which are regularly adapted for the screen. Not only do albums have a textual basis for adaptation through lyrics, they also have something that books don't have: visualisation through music videos. It's becoming more and more common for albums to have lengthy, filmic music videos and often multiple music videos form a singular narrative. Then there's the fact that the music itself evokes a certain tone and atmosphere, building a better picture of the world or scenario being depicted...and there are certainly plenty of albums out there that have titles as iconic as popular films. Given a little thought, there are actually a bunch of albums that would make incredibly awesome films. From the action packed to the deeply intimate, here are nine albums that are begging to be made into a movie.
