A Beginners Guide To Thrash Metal

10. Heathen €“ Victims of Deception - 1991

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6p7H9X1XcE The second album, from San Francisco Bay-Area veterans Heathen, is seen as one of Thrash Metal€™s most progressive albums and is often compared to Metallica€™s €œ...And Justice For All€ and Megadeth€™s €œRust In Peace€. The album consists of long songs with loads of different sections, tempo changes and odd time signatures. You could do worse than start with this oft overlooked gem. Interestingly in November/December of 2011 the band took their place with Sepultura, Exodus, Destruction and Mortal Sin on the Thrashfest Classics package that toured Europe.

Live and work in Aberdeen, Scotland...unfortunately. Sang in My Minds Weapon (Basick/Drakkar/Sony) for ten years (2002 - 2012) and now just tinkering with various other projects. Die hard Leeds United fan. Metalhead in my heart but also love many other genres of music. Also enjoy anything with Christopher Walken or David Caruso. Family live in Perth, Australia, so have been there many times. Best place in the world.
