Bloodstock Festival 2017: 10 Bands You Must See

8. Venom Prison

Venom Prison clock in slightly lower on this list than they should, due to the simple fact that the macabre British quintet has also made a recent appearance in our "10 Bands to See at Download Festival 2017" list.

However, repetition be damned, as this intense, death metal powerhouse more than deserves another mention: they're just that ridiculously good.

Still hot off their sole full-length album Animus (2016), Venom Prison has unabashedly used the momentum and acclaim that their masterful debut album has given them to grab some of the most enviable tour slots of 2017.

Not only has the group hit the road with Darkest Hour and Suicide Silence this year (outperforming both headliners in the process), but they've also annihilated the Dogtooth Stage of this year's Download, and are due to tour with the likes of Fallujah, Aversions Crown, Gorguts, Havok and Revocation later this year.

Morbid but also unyielding in their lightning-fast pace, Venom Prison will be a true, intense wake-up call to those that crawl their way to Bloodstock's Ronnie James Dio Stage on the Sunday morning.
