Every Wings Album Ranked From Worst To Best
6. London Town
London Town isn’t a terrible album but nor is it a terribly good one: a collection of largely mid tempo, keyboard heavy, functional pop songs that you won’t rush to switch off or be be in any particular hurry to hear again.
With A Little Luck is the obvious stand out, Backwards Traveller and Cuff Link are likeably eccentric and Michael Jackson would later cover Girlfriend with a more convincing falsetto. At the other end of the spectrum, rockabilly number Name And Address is pretty ropey and Famous Groupies is deeply skippable.
There’s nothing much wrong with London Town but no reason to put it any higher on this list.
