Glastonbury: 5 Heavy Bands That Could Legitimately Headline

3. Black Sabbath

The godfathers of metal, Black Sabbath were highly influential in the evolution of heavy music, but sadly decided to call it quits with their final tour in 2017. Though the band are officially retired from touring, or even recording, who’s to say that a one off performance at the UK’s largest festival is totally off the cards?

After all, it would make perfect business sense, as a Black Sabbath one-off reunion show would bring metalheads from all over the world to the grounds of Glastonbury. In addition, mainstream audiences will also recognise the act, if nothing else, for the iconic frontman Ozzy Osbourne, who is a worthy headliner in his own right.

But what a headline spot from Sabbath would really give fans is closure, as although they carry the size, they have always avoided a Glastonbury appearance, and what better way to perminently call it quits than with couple of hours on the Pyramid Stage?
