Pearl Jam: 8 Best Non-Album Tracks

8. Crazy Mary

A cover of a Victoria Williams song, this became a staple at live shows for a long time and still appears from every once in a while. Crazy Mary appears on €˜Sweet Relief: A Benefit for Victoria Williams (1993)€™ in studio form, but it€™s the live version that most fans will recognize. The two differ greatly, with an extended Boom Gasper (keys) and Mike McCready (lead guitar) dual solo raising the roof off of buildings on more than one occasion. The recorded version is much more laid back but is all the more haunting for it. Not the only cover song the band is known for, but it ranks as one of their best.

As a pretty nerdy guy, I've loved film and television since I was a wee lad. Growing up in Ireland, The Den was the show to watch with it playing Batman The Animated Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation and everything in between. I have an MA in Radio and Television Production and have written for various sites, hope you enjoy my articles/lists for What Culture!
