Weezer have released thirteen albums and one compilation album since their formation in 1992. Initially signed as a low-priority band by Geffen Records, the geeky team-up of songwriter Rivers Cuomo and legendary new wave producer Ric Ocasek led to a surprise hit with 1994's The Blue Album.
While the band have had peaks and troughs in popularity over the years, the band are very much primed for a huge 2020 following their resurgence responding to an internet campaign covering Toto's Africa.
The band are set to release their next album Van Weezer in 2020, ahead of touring with Green Day and Fall Out Boy on The Hella Mega Tour. It will also be their first year of eligibility for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
